Flange Boss flange spreaders are probably the safest way to separate flange faces to allow for the insertion of blinds during essential maintenance. Suitable for flange classes from 150 to 2500lbs

Block Boss flange safety spacer ensures that once the flange faces are apart they do not come together again in an uncontrolled fashion thus protecting the hands and fingers of maintenance personnel.

Sidewinder is a lighter weight flange separation device with perhaps a broader range of uses than the Flange Boss.  It would suit applications in heavy processes but also is easy to use on smaller flanged joints in water processing, industrial heating applications and other reletively lower pressure systems.
